Tailgating Gear to Keep You Warm
Tailgating season is upon us, and there’s no denying the fact that a good, long day filled with food, friends, football, and alcohol is fun for everyone. Even those who don’t appreciate football can appreciate a good tailgate. The cold weather can cramp your tailgate party though, so it’s best to stock up on the necessary items ahead of time. Here are the items you need to adorn your tailgate with in order to keep warm and toasty while you sip your spiked hot chocolate. This tailgating gear will help you fight the cold and keep you warm even if your team loses.
Sometimes gloves just aren’t enough to keep the chill at bay. Stock up on some hand warmers to stuff in your gloves, in your shoes, and in all of your pockets. I once had 32 hand warmers stashed in various places during a Bowl game. I forgot the two in my bra until I woke up the next day. #worthit.
If you go to a tailgate when it’s cold and choose not to bring a blanket, you deserve to freeze. If you take a blanket that doesn’t rep your team, you’re jinxing the game. Avoid all of that with a good, warm blanket to wrap around you during the tailgate and game. Plus, both of these blankets are offered in several different teams’ designs.
You know you’re going to want to eat and drink to your heart’s content during your tailgate. Keep your hands toasty and protect them from water and wind with a good pair of gloves. These might not rep your team, but they can be used with your phone and you know that’s more important.
The #1 reason to buy a fun beanie: the cute selfies. The #2 reason: to keep your ears and head warm. It’s just a bonus that you can show your team pride at the same time.
You need a good thermos to keep that hot chocolate warm while you sip on it. Why not get one that also boasts who you’re cheering for?
No tailgate should try to withstand the cold on team spirit alone. Do your guests and yourself a favor and invest in one or two of these standing heaters.
