If you’re a cat momma who loves spoiling your furbaby, you need a subscription box that provides the pampering essentials. meowbox is the second cat subscription box my cat, Laz, and I have tried, and it’s hands-down our favorite. They even wrote a sweet little note to Laz on the inside of his meowbox box!

meowbox Review: The Most A-Meow-Zing Cat Subscription Box

For just $22.95 monthly (or bi-monthly), meowbox delivers high-quality toys and treats (all made in the U.S. or Canada) your kitty will love. And the best part? meowbox has a program called One Box Can, and for every meowbox purchased, they give a can of food to a shelter cat. You can even track your individual can to see where you’ve made a difference!

The Products

meowbox includes four to six items in each box, and you also have the option of a toys-only box if your kitty has special dietary requirements (or if you’re a picky cat mom — no judgment here).

Laz absolutely adored his meowbox toys and treats. His favorite by far was the fortune cookie. I have zero idea why he took to it, but he’s obsessed. He picks up the tag with his teeth and carries it around all throughout the apartment, and his nails get stuck on the fabric, so he ends up flinging it up into the air and jumping to catch it. I’ve literally never seen him happier in his entire five-month life.

His second-favorite toy is the catnip fish with ribbon streamers. This one’s fun for both of us, because I can dangle it in the air for him. It’s also convenient for me because if I need him to come to me, I just wave the little ribbons around and he comes running.

He also loves the brunch buddies (although he definitely favors the bacon, can’t argue with him there). I actually got the most excited about these two little toys, because I can fix myself eggs and bacon and Instagram the two of us eating our brunch together. (It’s going to happen, I promise — stay tuned.)

There actually isn’t a single thing in this box that Laz didn’t immediately take to. He loves the wool mouse for probably the same reason he loves the fortune cookie — his claws get stuck in it and there’s just something he likes about that. Maybe he thinks the mouse is fighting him back?

Laz is dying to try the Pinot Meow cat wine, but I’m saving it for a special occasion (once again, it makes a fabulous Instagram opportunity — and if you follow Laz on Instagram, you know he’s all about his wine). Laz is all about his treats, and he gobbles up the Meowjito treats as soon as they hit his food dish.

If your kitty happens to fall in love with their treats and toys like Laz did, meowbox has an online store where you can restock. Which, hallelujah, because these toys have a rough life ahead of them with Laz. The meowbox online store also has a few “human gifts,” so you can pamper yourself, too. Plus, they list the products from each month’s box, so if it’s not a meowbox-exclusive, you can still find it from the original sellers.

The Verdict: Is meowbox Worth It?

YES, meowbox is worth every penny. Laz and I are both head over heels in love with meowbox. The total value of the box was $32.94, which is about $10 more than what you actually pay each month. I would never put a price on my cat’s happiness, but that’s a pretty affordable one.

If you know a crazy cat lady who would love meowbox, you can also send a box as a gift. It’s $32.95 for a one-month gift, $27.95/mo for three months ($83.85 paid upfront), and $22.95/mo for six months ($137.70 paid upfront).
