Deskorations: Erin Condren Desk Essentials

With the right items, your desk can quickly change from your jail cell to your oasis. Erin Condren is known for putting out high-quality, functional pieces that are also beautiful and fun.

If you’re not sure which pieces you need the most, then let me give you a little road map.

Erin Condren Mouse Pad

$12, available at Erin Condren.

When you spend the majority of your day working on a computer, a flimsy, ugly, stained mouse pad is a major irritation. I know this because I used the same stained blue one for two years simply because didn’t want to buy another one. I also didn’t really want to just get another ugly solid color.

Erin Condren sells anything-but-boring mouse pads that are available in all of their signature prints, so they actually add some visual interest to your space. The mouse pads are nice and thick and can be personalized. I, of course, went with the flamingo print and personalized it with “Earn Spend Live.” Shocking, I know.

Erin Condren Desk Pad

$25, available at Erin Condren.

Are you always looking for something to jot down quick little notes on while you’re working? And the task of having to pull out a notebook and flip it open to an available page totally messes up your hard-to-achieve work flow? Me too, sister. That’s why I decided to get the desk pad from Erin Condren. There are two different layouts to choose from, and each one comes in different color schemes.

I went with the Keep It Simple Desk Pad because I wanted it in the Earn Spend Live colors, and I love the layout. There’s a ton of room for notes, my weekly to-do list, and even space for me to jot down my meetings for the week. It’s way easier to look down at this than it is to open up my calendar application all the time.

The other layout, the Schedule Pad, has lined columns for each day of the week, and can be done in whatever colors you want. There aren’t times or check boxes in the columns, so you can write down both your schedule and daily tasks however you want to. It’s a great option if you don’t want to have a full-blown planner for work.

Erin Condren Notebooks

$20-$35, available at Erin Condren.

We all need something to carry to meetings and use for brainstorming or outlining projects. Regular notebooks and legal pads are okay, but they don’t really add any organization or clarity to your workday. The notebooks from Erin Condren do though. I have two Erin Condren notebooks, and both are the bomb. One is the wire-bound with the productivity layout and the flamingo cover from the Summer 2016 Collection. The other is the simple lined layout with the palm leaf cover (which is sadly no longer available).

They come with stickers in the back, have thick paper, and also have boxes for you to write in wet erase marker on the inside of the front and back covers. I like the ability to organize my lists throughout the week for certain projects with the stickers and use the space on the covers for things like account passwords and inspirational quotes.

Erin Condren Journals

$20-$25, available at Erin Condren.

Journals come with the same options and layouts as the notebooks, but the difference is the journals are book-bound rather than wire-bound. The covers aren’t interchangeable, and there’s no writing on the inside covers with wet erase markers.

If you’re more of a book-bound kind of person then you’ll love the journals. You can customize them, choose your layout, and utilize the stickers at the back to organize.

Erin Condren Notepads

$9-$11.25, available at Erin Condren.

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love a good, high-quality notepad. Erin Condren has multiple types of notepads in several design options. There’s the classic lined, blank, and productivity notepads all in different size options. The notepads aren’t sticky and have thick paper, which makes them much more practical for daily use. You can also personalize them if you want to.

Erin Condren Note Cards

$1.12-$3.75, available at Erin Condren.

All professionals should have some form of stationary to use for sending out thank you notes to those they work with. The note cards from Erin Condren are like post cards, so they’re not overly formal like the traditional stationary–and they’re the perfect size for jotting down a quick, respectful message. Plus, you know they’re personalizable and super cute with all of the design options.
