Indigo Beaux is a new subscription box that is focused on providing full-size makeup, skincare, teas, and other relaxation products. Starting at $65.99/month, this subscription box definitely falls in the “luxury” category — but is it worth the high price tag?

The Products:

The theme of this month’s box is “Be Bold.” The products include:

First, let’s take a minute to talk about the box itself. A deep royal blue color with beautiful gold detailing, it was impressive in and of itself. Because I’ve received such a high volume of subscription boxes of all types, I really notice and appreciate when a service takes that extra step to make their packaging attractive — instead of an ugly box going to waste, you can use it to decorate with, use as a gift box, etc. Additionally, when I opened the box, it literally smelled like a luxurious, relaxing spa. And because that’s Indigo Beaux’s goal, that’s definitely a plus!

Unfortunately, the lipstick in the box was melted and fell out of the tube (I blame the hellish Arkansas summer temperatures). The snake venom-like face serum isn’t something I would typically use, but my mom loves to try anything anti-aging, so I’m sure I could find a good home for it.

The remaining three products I really loved. Though the candle was also a little melted from the heat, it still worked and it smells wonderful. I’ll admit I was a little weirded out by the thought of goat milk hand cream, but it smelled good and left my hands feeling extremely soft and smooth. The herbal pillow is something I’ve never heard of before — you can either put it in the refrigerator to use for certain ailments or heat it up in the microwave. If it works as good as it smells, I’m excited to give it a try next time I’m not feeling so great.

All in all, this was an interesting collection of products for a very unique box. Because this was only Indigo Beaux’s first box, I’m excited to see what they come up with next!

The Value: $105 Total

For a box that costs so much, I expected a bit of a higher overall value. However, all of the products included in this box were good quality, and it is the debut box, so I’ll give them a pass on this one. What I liked most about this box was the wide variety of unique products that you won’t really find in any other subscription box — and that, to me, is a value that you can’t really assign a number to.

The Verdict: Is Indigo Beaux Worth It?

Unlike most beauty boxes, this is not the type of box that is going to save you money. Based on the higher price point alone, Indigo Beaux is truly a “luxury” subscription box — but if you want to pamper yourself a bit (or give the gift of pampering to someone else), this box will certainly deliver on that promise.
